Four ways to dress A2go for marketing

Ground rule honored in all four: the product surface keeps its muted instrument discipline — when three charts share a notebook page, green and red must mean status and nothing else. These directions spend color only where nothing is being operated: the deck, the site, the campaign.

Read them as: 1 · your theme plus a weekend wardrobe → 2 · your trajectory, committed to fully → 3 · the CMO ignores everyone → 4 · the adopted recommendation: Direction 2's system wearing Direction 3's stamp.

Direction 1 · “Signal, extended”

The theme you have, with one off-duty color

Everything stays: Signal Teal as the single working accent, the deep-navy console, the Apple neutrals, IBM Plex. Marketing gains exactly one new color — Iris, a blue-violet — worn only on marketing surfaces for glow, gradients, and “intelligence” moments. It cannot be confused with sense/decide blues, with teal, or with any status color, so the semantic system stays airtight.

Optional second addition: an Iris tint (like signal-bg) for soft section backgrounds. That’s the entire delta — two tokens, both fenced off from product UI.

A2GO · DECISION INTELLIGENCE

Run the operation, don’t just watch it.

Purpose-built agents that sense, decide, and act — governed by your judgment.

Iris Tint — NEW#ECEBFC · soft section washes
Target#2CB6C0 · unchanged, strokes on navy

Why this works / what it costs

  • Lowest risk. Nothing existing moves; every shipped page and slide stays canon.
  • Iris reads “intelligence” without touching the status vocabulary — violet is the only hue family you haven’t claimed.
  • Punch is real but modest: this is a pocket square, not a new suit. If marketing wants a presence shift, this won’t deliver it.
  • Fence to write into §0: Iris never appears on product surfaces, never encodes data, never sits next to Decide blue at small sizes.

Direction 2 · “The lit console”

The direction you were already going — committed to, all the way

Your identity has been drifting somewhere specific: instruments, dark consoles, one calm accent. The better version of that isn’t more colors — it’s making the dark console the marketing signature and letting light surfaces be the reading room. Navy deepens one step (more contrast headroom), Target cyan gets promoted from “stroke color” to the kinetic accent — glows, live traces, hover states — while Signal Teal remains the handshake on every button. One engineered addition: Phosphor, a pale instrument-glow tint of Target, for the moments a trace or number should feel lit from behind. Plus a brand device you already own without noticing: the dk-grid graph-paper motif as a background texture.

This is evolution with conviction: same DNA, staged like the product photography of a precision instrument.

Why this works / what it costs

  • It’s already yours. Every token exists or derives from one; the shift is staging, not vocabulary. The deck’s dark slides and the site hero converge on one look.
  • Phosphor gives marketing its “punch” as luminosity instead of a new hue — differentiating in a category that shouts with saturation.
  • Status colors gain contrast on the deeper base (watch 7.2:1 → higher) — the discipline gets easier, not harder.
  • Cost: dark-first marketing demands craft — cheap dark design looks like a gamer brand. And print pieces need the light system, so both must stay first-class.

Direction 3 · “The Ledger” — the CMO ignores the brief

Every rival is a blue SaaS. Be the newspaper of record.

If I owned this brand outright: the entire supply-chain software category dresses in gradient blues and teals — buyers cannot tell the tabs apart. A2go’s actual product is judgment: decisions made, priced, committed, signed. So borrow the visual language of institutions whose product is judgment — the broadsheet, the ledger, the contract. Warm bone paper. Near-black ink. Oversized IBM Plex Serif (you already own an editorial typeface — this is what it’s for). Hairline rules. And exactly one loud color: Stamp Blue, an ultramarine used the way a registrar uses a stamp — on the decision, the CTA, the number that matters. The warm metallic you retired, brass, returns from the §9 reserve for seals and marks of value. Teal doesn’t die — it remains the product’s working accent; marketing simply stops leaning on it.

Deliberately avoided: any red or amber (status stays sacred), and any hue near sense/decide/target — Stamp Blue sits far enough ultramarine that nothing in the product family is mistaken for it.

Why this works / what it costs

  • Unmistakable in the category. On a conference floor of blue gradients, the bone-and-ink booth is the one people remember. The stamp is a brandable act: “decided.”
  • It dramatizes your actual differentiator — committed, auditable decisions — rather than “AI,” which everyone claims.
  • IBM Plex Serif finally works at full editorial size; zero new fonts.
  • Cost: this is a real rebrand of marketing surfaces — website, deck, collateral all restaged. Product and marketing would intentionally look like different rooms of the same institution; that split must be governed or it drifts.
  • Brass returns only as a mark, never as text on bone at small sizes (contrast).

Direction 4 · “Console & Stamp” — the adopted recommendation

Direction 2’s system, wearing Direction 3’s best idea

The base is the lit console: Abyss under everything marketing, Target promoted to the kinetic accent, Phosphor for lit numerals, the dk-grid graph paper as texture, Signal Teal on every button, light pages as the reading room. Onto that system we graft the one idea from the Ledger that survives any palette: the stamp. A decision, once made, gets marked — DECIDED · 3 DAYS — a ring the brand uses the way a registrar uses ink. On dark it stamps in Phosphor; on paper it stamps in Signal Teal. Never red, never amber, never more than one per view.

Nothing in the working vocabulary moves: §0 tokens, status discipline, and the product’s muted notebook remain exactly as ratified. This direction only stages them.

Surface governance (the point of D4)

  • Marketing dark surfaces (site hero, deck dark slides, booth): the lit console — Abyss + Target + Phosphor + graph paper.
  • Marketing light surfaces (papers, caselets, memos): the ratified light system, unchanged; teal stamp allowed once per piece.
  • Product surfaces — real ones: untouched. The notebook’s muted law and status vocabulary are canon (ui-law / §0).
  • Product surfaces — simulated (demos, screenshots, hero mock consoles): staged on the lit console so “the product in the ad” and “the product in use” are visibly the same instrument, just photographed in the dark.
  • Fences: Phosphor is never body text on light; the stamp never encodes status and never appears twice; watch/breach remain status-only everywhere.

Constant across all three: IBM Plex trio · watch/breach remain status-only everywhere · the decision notebook and toolsite keep the muted instrument palette untouched · one focal accent per view. Direction 4 was RATIFIED as the hybrid governance on 2026-07-15 (one token sheet, two registers — Abyss/Phosphor + the Ledger vocabulary now live in §0). This page stays as the provenance record of the four directions compared.
